Heads up on Light-Weight JSON API (JEP 198)

The Light-Weight JSON API has been dropped from the OpenJDK release 9. Check out this announcement by Mark Reinhold on the jdk9-dev mailing list

Previously, there were some questions raised on the JSON-P 1.1 (JSR 374 for Java EE 8) API and how it will correlate/co-exist to/with the JSON API in OpenJDK (which of course would have made its way into Java SE 9). But I guess that closed for now!

Check out the excerpts of the discussion here on the Java EE 8 EG mailing list

Cheers. . . !
